May 2, 2026 – Mills River Day Show
Location: North River Farms

10:00am – Horse show starts
11:00am – 5:00pm – Mills River Day event – vendors, music, food trucks, etc.
Come on out and show your horse or pony! The show wraps up with Pole Bending and Barrel Racing. Performances by Ridin’ On Faith drill team. Pre-registration available online. Enjoy this free annual community event! ERC will set up the club tent near the show ring… volunteers needed (for show and ERC booth). Please be sure to bring cash for food trucks and vendors; the phone reception at the farm is spotty.
May 16, 2026 – Spring Obstacle Course & Meeting
Location: ERC
Time: 11am – 4pm, meeting @ 4pm
Come out and have some fun at our spring obstacle challenge! Drop in any time. A limited number of horses will be allowed in the arena at one time in 30-minute intervals. Obstacles will also be available outside the arena. Please bring lunch, snacks and beverages. ERC Meeting to follow at 4:00pm. Volunteers will be needed to design obstacles and set-up/tear down.
May 30, 2026 – Open Clinic: All About Patterns

Clinician: Judge Casey Jackson

This clinic is open to the public. Would you like to better understand patterns? Would you like to try a class that includes a pattern, but aren’t too sure about it? Would you like to have more confidence and focus when riding them? Judge Casey Jackson will teach participants all about patterns, what classes have patterns, and how to read those diagrams. Riders will have the opportunity to practice riding some patterns to gain confidence before showing in classes that include a pattern. Bring your horse or pony and your questions!

June 6, 2026 – ERC Show

Show Start: 9am
Come on out and show your horse or pony! Celebrate the 60th with cupcakes and the raffle drawing for LUCKY THE HORSE, a beautiful, hand-crafted wooden saddle stand. The winning ticket holder does not need to be present to win. High Point Award for Youth English, Youth Western, Adult English and Adult Western.
June 26-28, 2026 – ERC Horse Camp Trip: Dupont
Mark your calendars! Space is limited; 15 horses maximum. $10.00 per horse per night. NO dogs allowed. Members please RSVP directly to Ellen Blackburn if you intend on going. Stay tuned for more info.
July 18, 2026 – ERC Play Day – Weenie/Marshmallow Roast & Meeting
Location: ERC
Time: Afternoon riding, meeting @ 5pm
Bring your horses and have a late-day or early evening ride. We’ll relax and have a hot dog supper and roast marshmallows. We’ll plan for supper to start at 5pm, but ride before or after. Just come relax and hang out! The club will provide hot dogs, buns and marshmallows. Everyone bring your own beverages and a side dish or dessert to share. Everyone is welcome… horse or no horse.
August 15, 2026 – Horseless Horse-Themed Game Night & Meeting

Join us for a summertime horse-themed game night. NO real horses required! Stay tuned for more info!
September 26, 2026 – AppleFest Obstacle Challenge & Meeting

Time: 11am – 4pm, meeting @ 4pm
What horse doesn’t love apples? Enjoy this time of the year at our fun obstacle challenge (including bobbing for apples!)! Drop in any time. A limited number of horses will be allowed in the arena at one time in 30-minute intervals. Obstacles will also be available outside the arena. Please bring lunch, snacks and favorite beverages. We’ll supply apple pie, apple fritters and cider! ERC Meeting to follow at 4pm. Volunteers will be needed to design obstacles and set-up/tear down.
October 3, 2026 – 60th Anniversary ERC Show

Join us for our 60th Anniversary Fall Show! Volunteers will be needed for show grounds prep (Thursday and/or Friday), as well as the day of the show.

Open Shows
These shows are open to any equestrians in the community & are great for beginner riders and kids! We have english, western, gaited, trail, lead line, costume, & game classes. Come picnic, socialize, & enjoy a full day!
Spectator Admission: $5 Adults, Children Under 12 FREE, 1 person per horse FREE.
Absolutely NO DOGS or ALCOHOL on show grounds.
Rider Info: Class list subject to change until the month of show. Properly fitted helmets are REQUIRED by any rider under 18 in english AND western tack. Rules & class order on program. No refunds given for classes scratched on the day of the show. Changes must be made at least 3 classes ahead.
